Lee Ullmann is the Director of the MIT Sloan Latin America Office.
He has held numerous positions in the field of education. Most recently he was the face of higher education for the U.S. State Department in Chile. Prior to that, Lee was on the faculty at Columbia University. He has also worked as a consultant in the e-learning sector where he helped build artificial intelligence software for pharmaceutical companies and databases for museums and schools.
An avid traveler, Lee has visited more than 40 countries and has lived in Israel, Cyprus, Ecuador, Turkey, and Chile. He spent two years working in Turkey. During one of these years, he was a Fulbright fellow. Lee has published articles and given public talks on a variety of topics from education in Latin America to Global Information Systems (GIS) to the ancient world.
