Required for most finance electives and for the Financial Management and Financial Engineering tracks. Topics: functions of capital markets and financial intermediaries; fixed income investments; diversification and portfolio selection; valuation theory and equilibrium pricing of risky assets; the theory of efficient markets; and an introduction to derivatives.
