Description: This course surveys a broad range of institutions—their economic strategies and regulatory frameworks—including mutual funds, hedge funds, banks, life insurers, and pension plans.
This course will appeal to students who want to understand how senior management sets strategies and creates new products at financial institutions.
The course draws on the experience of the instructor, Robert Pozen, a former Chairman of MFS Investment Management and a past President of Fidelity Investments. Pozen has served as a federal and state regulator and has sat on the boards of banks and insurance companies. He has previously taught at Harvard Business School.
