History

The convocation tradition was established in the 1950s so that MIT Sloan Fellows alumni could exchange perspectives on management issues. After two Sloan-wide convocations, we are returning to a more intimate format, which includes alumni exclusively from the MIT Sloan Fellows, Management of Technology, and Senior Executive programs.

MIT Sloan alumni leave every convocation energized to tackle fresh challenges and opportunities. They also enjoy meeting the newest members of the MIT Sloan Fellows network — in this case, the Class of 2009. No two convocations are alike, but every one is invigorating and memorable. Convocation 2008 is dedicated to the critical issue of sustainability — a topic that is stimulating considerable passion and revolutionary thinking on campus and changing the way the world does business.
