We've made it easy.

The hotels listed here offer special MIT rates for Convocation participants, but rooms fill up fast and some offer discounts during a limited timeframe. Don't be disappointed — make your arrangements now.

Staying in Cambridge or Boston

Many of the hotels in our Hotel Information page have filled up, but there are still several great hotels that are offering rooms at regular market price.

Getting Around

In the spirit of Sustainability we are urging alumni to leave their cars at home, and consider several other travel options during their trip to Cambridge. Buses will be available to and from Thursday's Welcome Reception at Artists For Humanity and from East Campus to Kresge Auditorium immediately following the Back to the Classroom Sessions on Saturday. The Bus Schedule is provided in these links.

Additionally, the MIT Shuttles are available for all alumni to ride throughout Convocation. Shuttles run every ten minutes during peak hours, and every twenty during off hours. We have provided a shuttle schedule and map here.

You can also map out your trip from Logan to Cambridge and beyond on the MBTA.

If you do plan to drive, the Getting to MIT link provides essential information about public transportation and parking options.

Local Attractions, Activities, and Restaurants

If you're looking for activities before, during, or after Convocation there are plenty listed on our Local Activities page. Or, find a delicious place to dine on our Suggested Restaurants list.
