  • San Francisco Digital Economy Conference

On January 18, 2013, the MIT Sloan School of Management hosted a conference, MIT and the Digital Economy, in San Francisco with over 450 alumni and guests attendance. This half day conference, led by Erik Brynjolfsson Director, The MIT Center for Digital Business, Schussel Family Professor of Management Science, MIT Sloan School of Management and Andy McAfee, Associate Director and Principal Research Scientist, The MIT Center for Digital Business, highlighted MIT’s role in both understanding and shaping our digital economy and featured the award-winning research of our faculty, the contributions of our alumni, and the perspectives of some of the most influential people in the digital economy. Harnessing the potential of digital technologies is both a great opportunity and a grand challenge. Attendees participate in discussions that engaged their intellect, broadened their perspective, challenged their preconceptions, and ignited their imaginations.
