CareerSearch
This unique Web-based tool, provided gratis to MIT Sloan alumni, collects detailed company information from dozens of sources — and creates a single database of employers throughout the U.S. Career Search gives you access to crucial information on over 20 million potential employers and 6.5 million key contacts. You can perform targeted searches by industry, company, location, keyword, and much more. Find up-to-date intelligence on both privately and publicly held companies, and quickly search and download tailored reports into a variety of applications.

This extensive database also accesses news articles (from hundreds of publications) on most of the companies and in many cases provides information on company competitors. Although CareerSearch does not show which companies are hiring at any given time, it is one of the most powerful networking and research tools available.

To access CareerSearch, proceed as follows:

1. Go directly to CareerSearch
2. First-time users should select Create New Account
3. Complete the New User Sign-up:
   1. Client Referral = mula (“alum” backwards)
   2. Username = (please use your 4 digit program year, first initial and last name with no spaces, e.g.. 1994jsmith)
   3. Password = you choose — This will be your private account
