Nearly 1,200 alumni returned to campus this month for Building the Future and Alumni Weekend 2011, events celebrating MIT Sloan’s continued leadership and growth in the 21st century. The weekend featured the dedication of MIT Sloan’s new building and a series of panels, workshops, and discussions by faculty, alumni, and special guests. MIT Sloan is pleased to welcome the graduates of The Lisbon MBA to the School’s alumni network. Launched in 2009, The Lisbon MBA is a collaboration between MIT Sloan and Portugal’s top two business schools, and part of a dedication to enhancing management education around the world. Like alumni from affiliate schools in China and South Korea, Lisbon graduates are now included in the MIT Sloan Alumni Directory.

Nearly three years after the economic crisis, U.S. lawmakers have learned nothing, done nothing, and left the country “on the precipice” of another collapse, former New York governor Eliot Spitzer said in a talk at MIT Sloan last month.
