There are numerous ways to support MIT Sloan. You can choose the way that works best for you.

A donor-advised fund (DAF) is a type of giving program that allows you to easily support your favorite charities. You may also be eligible for certain tax benefits. An increasingly popular charitable vehicle, DAFs are an excellent way to both simplify your charitable giving and facilitate your strategic philanthropic goals.
If you already benefit from donor-advised funds and would like to send a gift to MIT, please make checks payable to Massachusetts Institute of Technology, attention: MIT Sloan, and mail to the following address:
Massachusetts Institute of Technology
P. O. Box 412926
Boston, MA 02241-2926
MIT’s tax identification number is 04-2103594. Please specify in the memo that your gift is for MIT Sloan.
Alternatively, if your donor-advised fund is with Fidelity, Schwab, or BNY Mellon, you may recommend a gift to MIT via DAFDIRECT.
MIT Donor-Advised Fund
As of December 2017, MIT Sloan donors may establish an MIT Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) with a gift of 1 million or more. This option allows MIT Sloan donors to establish a charitable account maintained and managed by MIT from which donor-advised distributions can be made from time to time to MIT, as well as to other charitable organizations. Learn more about this option.

Double your impact! Many companies offer matching gift benefits to their employees, doubling the value of their charitable contributions. These donations make a critical difference for MIT Sloan and can help you become a member of the Dean's Circle. Learn more about matching gifts and see if your company matches.

Many alumni prefer to give appreciated securities directly to MIT Sloan rather than sell them and donate their proceeds, as this allows for certain tax benefits and can help diversify your assets. If you own securities that have lost value, you can sell the stock, take the capital loss deduction, and make a gift to MIT Sloan.
Whether your stocks are held by yourself or are kept with a bank/broker, it is important that you notify MIT Sloan in advance of making a gift of securities. This will help to ensure that proper crediting and timely acknowledgement take place.

CLOSELY HELD STOCK
Don’t believe the conventional wisdom: you can make a charitable gift of closely held shares of stock in your own company, and receive the same tax benefits as if those shares had been publicly traded.
You must secure a qualified appraisal of stock in order to receive this deduction. MIT Sloan can sell the shares back to the company, either for a lump sum or a promissory note, on the condition that there has been no prearrangement with the company.
Questions about closely held stock gifts can be directed to:
