Welcome to Year Eight of the ‘Big Idea’

The Office of Media Relations at MIT Sloan School of Management is pleased to welcome you to the eighth year of our Big Idea campaign.

This year’s theme is Driving Innovation, Transforming the World Economy.

In 2005, Media Relations and the MIT Sloan Career Development Office first teamed up to shape the campaign with the goal of developing news angles about MIT Sloan’s role as an innovative, global management school. Every year since, a committee comprised of faculty and staff from across the MIT Sloan campus has come together to identify a critical quality to the School’s ability to meet its mission of developing principled innovative leaders who improve the world and generate ideas that advance management practice.

The resulting news and broadcast stories in our slide shows span the globe and capture how Sloan constituents are driving innovation and transforming the global economy through cutting edge research, action learning and the creation of groundbreaking startups.
