Alumni Weekend 2011

Alumni Weekend 2011: A Grand Gathering

Alumni Weekend 2011 brought together more than 1,100 MIT Sloan alumni and their guests in honor of the School’s Building the Future celebration and the Institute’s 150th anniversary observance.

While MIT Sloan alumni have historically participated in Reunions and Triennial Convocations, these events were folded into Alumni Weekend 2011. All MIT Sloan alumni were invited to participate in the festivities, which ranged from traditional reunion activities to special events such as the dedication of MIT Sloan’s new flagship building and the Joan and William A. Porter 1967 Center for Management Education, and Exchange 62, a colloquium led by MIT Sloan faculty and other thought leaders.

Alumni had the opportunity to participate in alumni- and faculty-led workshops that featured the practitioner’s view of management. In addition, class- and program-specific gatherings and family-friendly activities were integrated into the Alumni Weekend 2011 events.
