  • Company Events

Company events, sponsored by the MIT Sloan Career Development Office, are a popular and effective way to inform and educate students about your organization and its career opportunities. Presentations for full-time and internship hiring begin in early October and end in mid-November.

Companies may choose one of the three event options:

    Evening Presentations

Evening presentations are a great opportunity for company representatives, especially MIT Sloan alumni, to interact with students. Well-known organizations and companies with a successful history of hiring at MIT Sloan usually find evening presentations most effective. Typically, a firm begins with a 45-minute presentation, followed by a reception where students and company representatives can network. Evening presentations take place off-campus at area hotels and restaurants.

    On-Campus Lunchtime Presentations

Lunchtime presentations held in MIT Sloan classrooms are an easy and informal way for companies - both new and those familiar to the school - to meet students. Presentations last 45 minutes and typically include a 25-minute presentation, followed by 20 minutes of Q&A. For brown-bag lunches, our recruiting team makes the room, catering, and audio-visual arrangements for you. Your company is responsible for the costs associated with the lunch. Company materials may be shipped to our office prior to your lunch presentation.

    Advertising Company Presentations

Please send your industry contact a short email announcement that publicizes your event to students. Your announcement should include the names of the presenters, location, time, date, and the types of positions for which you are hiring (full-time, summer internships, or both). Please specify the intended audience for your company presentation based on your firm's hiring policies. For example, if your firm is unable to hire international students, the announcement should state this.

This announcement will be posted on the homepage of our centralized career database. Please note that we are unable to forward attachments to the entire student body.

    MIT Sloan Student Clubs

Student clubs and conferences are an integral part of academic and student life at MIT Sloan. Club events introduces your company to students interested in specific industries and functions.

    To schedule a club event:

    • Send proposed event information (topic, speaker, potential dates) to your industry's contact person within the Career Development Office.
    • The Career Development Office will approve your topic and check your proposed dates to ensure it does not conflict with previously scheduled events.
    • After this approval, your request will be forwarded to the club for final approval. Club officers will determine if the event fits into their schedule of educational activities.
    • If the event is approved, your firm may work directly with club leaders to coordinate logistics and promote the event to their club members.
