Generating Business Value from IT: How to Build Business Success in the Midst of a Downturn

MIT Sloan CISR Summer Session is a highly-rated forum where executives from all over the world can gain critical insights into significant issues in the forefront of the management and use of information technology. At Summer Session, faculty from CISR share their findings during five one-day workshops which feature a combination of lecture, case study, guest speaker appearances, video, and group work facilitated by MIT Sloan experts to define action items.

MIT CISR Visiting Scholars Program

In 2006, CISR established a formal visiting scholars program, with the primary aim of fostering greater interest and collaboration on research exploring how companies get business value from IT. This program provides an opportunity for established researchers to do practice-oriented research in cooperation with CISR faculty and to work with executives from CISR sponsor companies and research sites. Education at the MIT Sloan School of Management

The MIT Sloan School of Management offers MBA, doctoral, and executive education programs, and MIT undergraduates may elect to major in management science. A special master program, the MIT Sloan Fellows Program in Innovation and Global Leadership, is a one-year, full-time program for mid-level managers. Also offered are several week-long non-degree executive short courses on such topics as corporate strategy, system dynamics, and the management of change.
