Sponsorship

Our relationship with corporate and organizational sponsors is critical to the success of CISR. These relationships provide CISR with our principal source of funding as well as input and feedback on our research agenda and results. Sponsors receive early access to research results, interaction with researchers and peers from other organizations, and other benefits.

There are two levels of potential relationships with CISR, Research Patrons (Patrons) and Sponsors. Both are typically large multinational corporations with leading edge IT capability or the equivalent in size and IT capability from the public sector. Both Patrons and Sponsors are formally recognized as supporters of CISR on our website, publications, and presentation materials and participate in research briefings as well as an annual MIT Sloan MBA recruitment event.

Sponsors participate in two annual research workshops, have early and electronic access to working papers from CISR, and are entitled to one free seat at the five-day CISR Summer Session showcasing CISR research. Sponsors also agree to be a research site for at least one CISR research project. The annual contribution is $35,000 per year for a three-year commitment and $45,000 for a one-year commitment.

Patrons receive a tailored set of benefits based on detailed discussions with CISR. Patrons have all the benefits of Sponsors, plus more access to research, have additional free seats at CISR's public executive programs, have the option of tailored executive education, and have access to CISR researchers for other research presentations. Patrons are typically vendor organizations that share our research with others, including clients. Patrons contract with CISR for three-year relationships starting at $100,000 per year depending on the extent and depth of agreed upon customized benefits.
