As Jack Heineman's career responsibilities grew, he began to look for executive education programs that would deliver the managerial and leadership skills he would need for future opportunities. The MIT Sloan Executive Education suite of programs offered the relevant content in a flexible format that he was seeking. “A great benefit of the MIT Sloan Executive Education Programs is the underlying thought process the staff imparted to have students think through problems and apply optimal approaches,” notes Jack. “The faculty is skillful in driving home important considerations that I keep in my tool bag of leadership and management skills.”

Jack had this to say of Understanding and Solving Complex Business Problems, the second of five executive education courses he has taken at MIT Sloan, “This course gave me insight on strategic decision making without being overwhelmed by pedantic business theory. The modeling techniques provided good tools for effective problem triage.” In addition, he was able to directly apply the skills he took away from Managing Technical Professionals and Organizations by using them in the development of Gatekeepers for Kaman Aerospace Corporation.

Most recently, Jack participated in the Entrepreneurship Development Program. “I wish that I had taken this program years before. I can recognize and persue new opportunities in various technologies. I am developing the entrepreneurial spirit within the work place environment.”
