Hannes Hoellinger attended the University of Economics in Vienna where he received an MBA, and completed the post graduate management course. Before that he received a BA in Electrical Engineering in Vienna. His professional career began in the public sector as an Army officer, followed by four years as assistant director of operations for the Ministry of Education. In 1990, he joined the Alcatel Group as Controller of Operations for Austria. Hannes was then appointed CFO and Board Member of Alcatel's operating division for eastern Europe (Hungary). From 1997 to 2001, he continued his career as a CFO and/or board member in the high tech industry while working for companies like Informix (IBM), Extant (Dynegy) and max.mobil (T-Mobile).
Since 2002, Hannes has worked as CFO and board member of Constantia Flexibles, a top supplier of flexible packaging to the food, pharma, health care, and beverage industries. In this role, he leads the finance, accounting, controlling, purchasing, IT, and legal aspects of the business. Responsible for growth through M&A activities, he faces the added challenge of successfully integrating worldwide subsidiaries into the organization.
“The programs I attended in my executive certificate track were Corporate Strategy, Building, Leading, and Sustaining the Innovative Organization, Developing and Managing a Successful Technology and Product Strategy, and Strategic Marketing for the Technical Executive. As a CFO, I found it very interesting to see R&D and organizational strategy through a non-financial point of view. I especially enjoyed the case studies that we worked on in small teams. Overall, the programs have helped me gain a new, wider perspective that I apply daily when interacting with other board members and making strategic decisions.”
