Brajesh “Braj” Jha leads the Service Delivery Engineering organization within North America for Oracle's prestigious Advanced Customer Services (ACS) division. It is a global business unit within Oracle Support that focuses exclusively on facilitating the continual operational improvement of customers' Oracle environment throughout the life of their Oracle solution. Managing delivery for these highly specialized services requires continuous innovation in the field of professional services. Virtually all of Oracle's top enterprise customers within North America leverage ACS services in one form or another.
Seven years ago, while transitioning from his core computer science background, Braj discovered the field of management science. He found it to be a fascinating world where subtle tweaks in organizational structures could unleash significant ripple effects. This interest led him to attend the MIT Sloan Executive Education programs, Business Dynamics: MIT's Approach to Diagnosing and Solving Complex Business Problems, and Managing Technical Professionals and Organizations. “These programs provided me with very powerful concepts that could be used on a daily basis. I believe that unlike the abstract and purely logical world of computer science, human beings and organizations are extremely complex and inherently unpredictable. While it is possible to execute through continuous learning on the job, understanding the theoretical underpinnings of common practices from the top-notch professors at MIT can make a big difference.”
Braj continued to take MIT Sloan Executive Education programs and went on to complete two executive certificate tracks in the areas of Management and Leadership and Strategy and Innovation. “Ensuring top-level customer satisfaction, building an organization of elite professionals, and coming up with new service delivery portfolios” are just some of the benefits he highlights from his experience at MIT Sloan.
