Elena Manresa is an Assistant Professor of Applied Economics at the MIT Sloan School of Management.
Her research is in the areas of microeconometrics, empirical microeconomics, and financial econometrics. Her current work focuses on developing methodologies to estimate (unobserved) structures of interactions and networks, while quantifying the impact of those structures in several economic frameworks, such as the spillover effects of firms’ R&D investment on productivity.
In addition to her teaching experience, Manresa has had professional experience in the field as a consultant for Oliver Wyman Financial Services in several European countries and in the US.
Manresa received her BSc in mathematics from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and pursued her graduate studies in economics at CEMFI in Madrid.
