Biography

Cynthia Rudin

Professor Rudin's research interests are in statistical learning theory and applications of machine learning to industrial problems. She works on theoretical problems in the areas of algorithm convergence and algorithm development, with a focus on boosting-style classification and ranking algorithms. Her specific application areas include prioritization problems connected with the energy grid and recommendation systems for transactional data (for instance, from online retail vendors).
