Stephanie Hurder

Stephanie Hurder is a Postdoctoral Associate in Applied Economics at the MIT Sloan School of Management.

Stephanie’s interests include labor, personnel, organizational economics, and economic demography.  She is particularly interested in how occupational and job characteristics interact with family decision-making to affect fertility, labor supply, mobility, and earnings.  Her doctoral thesis examined the relationship between spouse choice and labor market outcomes for women across a variety of highly-educated professions. She was a summer associate at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in 2012.

Stephanie has a BA in Mathematics and Economics (magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa), an MA in Economics, and a PhD in Business Economics, all from Harvard University.
