The Accounting Group at the MIT Sloan School of Management is seeking new faculty at all levels for the academic year beginning July 1, 2012, or as soon as possible thereafter. Applicants will be evaluated on their potential for and/or record of excellence in research and teaching. Faculty responsibilities include teaching financial accounting at the graduate and undergraduate levels. The deadline for applications is November 30, 2011. Applications will be evaluated as soon as they are submitted, and applicants are encouraged to apply before the deadline. Applications must include a cover letter, curriculum vitae, and three letters of recommendation. Please include evidence of research such as publications, working papers, or a dissertation proposal.

The MIT Sloan School of Management is seeking faculty candidates with research and teaching interests relevant to the field of Strategic Management for a position in the Technological Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Strategic Management (TIES) Group. We prefer candidates qualified to be appointed as Associate Professor or Professor, but we will consider candidates who have or will soon complete their PhD. We are interested in candidates from different disciplinary backgrounds, including strategic management, economics, organization theory, sociology, history, or other relevant social sciences. Candidates must have a rigorous research portfolio that advances social science and is relevant to managerial practice. The position requires teaching in competitive strategy, corporate strategy, and/or the organizational aspects of strategic management.
The Sloan TIES Group is the product of the merger of the Strategic Management Group and the Technological Innovation and Entrepreneurship Group. The group places a premium on scholarly research and doctoral training and believes that high-impact scholarship is cultivated in a collegial, interdisciplinary environment. Accordingly, the group has extensive cross-links with other groups at Sloan and the wider Cambridge academic community.
