Meet the leaders who are rewriting the rules.
During your MIT Sloan Fellows year, you will sit down with leaders who head companies and governments, leaders who have launched entrepreneurial enterprises, leaders who run influential nonprofits and social action organizations, leaders who are introducing revolutionary products and practices into the global marketplace.
The program is designed to give you the opportunity for leadership development through interaction with leaders in
- speaker series at MIT Sloan and across the MIT campus
- classrooms, laboratories, and coffee shops across MIT
- boardrooms around the world during travel for coursework and extracurricular projects
- the MIT Sloan Fellows Program itself, where your peers, like you, are highly accomplished mid-career leaders
The MIT Sloan Fellows Program works closely with the MIT Leadership Center, which provides hands-on, action-based learning experiences that foster leadership development by allowing students to act, build, reinvent, and interact with experienced leaders across a wide span of industries and organizations. The Center focuses on distributed leadership—the idea that an organization must unleash the leadership potential that exists end to end across its hierarchy, tapping the expertise, vision, and ideas of all employees.
MIT Sloan’s much admired Dean’s Innovative Leader Series gives fellows the chance to engage in frank, insightful discussions with the leaders who are shaping the present and future marketplace. The series is just one of MIT Sloan’s many vehicles for bringing the world’s most influential leaders—more than 400—to campus every year.
During our international trip to South Africa and Brazil, I was struck by an incredible sense of momentum. The nations we visited were very different yet equally committed to sustainable fast-track development. The government and company leaders we met gave us tremendous insight into the possibilities for responsible entrepreneurship.Marcelo Ballestiero, SF ’10
