- 1985 Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences

* The Boston Globe obituary erroneously indicates that Prof. Modigliani shared the Nobel Prize with Richard Brumberg. While he was a student in the 1950s, Mr. Brumberg did collaborate with Prof. Modigliani on the life-cycle hypothesis, but he did not share the 1985 Nobel Prize Economic Sciences.
