Ways to Give

Forms of payment

Gifts to the MIT Sloan Fund of outright cash are the most valuable form of support because they are immediately available, unrestricted, and thus allow the School the flexibility to meet its most pressing needs. Checks should be made payable to the MIT Sloan School of Management and mailed with a standard pledge form or a short note indicating the designation of the gift within MIT Sloan. Gifts can be made by MasterCard, Visa, and American Express. If you don't wish to make your gift online, please print the pledge form, and mail with your gift to:

MIT Sloan School of Management

The information you provide will be used expressly for the purpose of correctly crediting your gift and/or pledge. It will not be used for any other commercial or philanthropic purpose; nor will this information be given, lent, or sold to any other individual or organization.

Corporate matching gifts

A gift to MIT Sloan can be twice as generous thanks to your corporation's matching gift program. Many companies offer employees a matching gift benefit that could actually double the amount of their gift. Matching gifts are a critical contribution to the MIT Sloan Annual Fund.

Companies have various methods by which you can submit your matching gift request-online forms, automated phone systems, or a paper form that you submit to MIT Sloan. Contact your company's human resources officer to learn your options. MIT Sloan recognizes the donor for the combined personal and corporate matching gift, provided that both halves of the matching gift are received within the same fiscal year (July 1 to June 30). Our tax identification number is 04-2103594. MIT is a 501(c)(3) institution, and your gift is tax-deductible within the limitations of U.S. federal income tax laws.

International tax benefits

The MIT Development Trust is a British Registered charity that is designed to allow individuals who reside and pay taxes in the United Kingdom to enhance their gifts to MIT by increasing the value of the charitable gift by almost 30 percent. A few straightforward conditions apply, but it is important to note that the donor does not need to be a citizen of the UK. For more information about the MIT Development Trust and how to take advantage of it, please contact: Mr. Roger Gouldstone, Tel 01531 890508 or Fax 01531 890202
