Korea

In 2003, MIT Sloan and the Sungkyunkwan University Graduate School of Business (SKK GSB) in Seoul, Korea, signed a Memorandum of Understanding to work together to develop a new, world-class MBA program at SKK GSB. English is the program's official and everyday language.

SKK GSB graduated its first MBA class in 2006. Most of its MBA students spend their third semester at a graduate business school outside of Korea, many of them at MIT Sloan as Visiting Fellows. Nearly every term one or more members of the SKK GSB faculty spend time at MIT Sloan as IFFs, usually to focus on research projects they have already begun.

In 2008, SKK GSB established a distinctive Finance MBA program designed to develop financial experts who can meet demand created by emerging financial hubs in Northeast Asia. Also in 2008, the MIT Sloan-SKK GSB collaboration was extended for another four years. In 2009, SKK GSB was awarded accreditation by AACSB International (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business).
