Initiative for Health Systems Innovation MIT Sloan Initiative for Health Systems Innovation is developing groundbreaking models of healthcare delivery and health management to improve organizational and systems capabilities. MIT Sloan uses an interdisciplinary approach to research and education, and partners with a network of health industry leaders throughout the world. IHSI is partnering with organizations to fundamentally change the cost-effectiveness equation for health, to promote a systems thinking approach to managing and leading change, and to develop new tools and analytical frameworks to improve population health and reduce healthcare costs. Faculty Research and Collaboration MIT Sloan’s proven expertise in managing complex systems includes healthcare research in economics, operations management, organizational design, system dynamics, and health IT. MIT Sloan is uniquely positioned to bring lasting change to U.S. and global healthcare systems. Many Sloan faculty members and their students, who have experience as clinicians, in the life sciences and pharmaceutical industries and healthcare consulting, are dedicated to addressing today’s healthcare challenges.
