See Yourself at MIT Sloan

We view the business school experience as a time of exploration, and MIT Sloan’s unique one-semester “core” curriculum builds the foundation necessary for the development of fundamental skills. The one-semester core also permits the freedom and flexibility for you to choose electives in the preceding three semesters. In other words, 75 percent of your courses are electives of your choosing, providing a wide-range of experiences here and abroad that will prove to be one of the most valuable experiences of your career.

In your two years at MIT Sloan, you will:

Our Community: Dynamic, Diverse, and Smart

A dynamic, diverse, and smart group of MBA students is another cornerstone of MIT Sloan’s community and an essential part of the MBA experience. This year’s entering class of 345 students represents more than 60 countries and a host of personal and professional backgrounds and experiences. It is our goal that all students emerge from their MBA experience as informed, responsible citizens of the world.

In carefully building this community, MIT Sloan seeks individuals who demonstrate:

  • The ability to lead and inspire others
  • A collaborative spirit and a community focus
  • Intellectual curiosity and analytical strength
  • The creativity to find new solutions to existing challenges
  • Growth in professional and personal endeavors

When asked why they chose MIT Sloan over other graduate institutions, MBA candidates often cite the same answer, namely the close-knit community they encountered when visiting campus. What helps to foster that connection is the School’s unique one-semester core, where students are grouped together in diverse teams of five or six as part of a larger cohort of 60 who remain together in all core classes. As our students will tell you, these relationships are a vitally important part of the overall MIT Sloan experience.

Your future at MIT Sloan

To optimize your existing foundation, MIT Sloan offers a portfolio of programs, pro seminars, and real-life projects in the U.S. and abroad that will enhance your opportunities and shape a dynamic future.
