In keeping with our commitment to innovation and academic adventure, MIT Sloan offers several joint and dual degree programs through which students can pursue study in a combination of disciplines. Some of these programs are offered jointly between MIT Sloan and other MIT schools; some take advantage of our partnerships with other world-class institutions in the Boston area. All of them provide the extensive theoretical and practical training that is the hallmark of an MIT Sloan education.
The Biomedical Enterprise Program (BEP) is a joint offering between Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology (HST) and MIT Sloan. BEP is geared toward individuals with business experience, a strong foundation in quantitative science, and a desire to join the next generation of leaders in biomedical enterprise. Integrating business and biomedical training, this three-year program analyzes the latest biomedical technologies and gives students unprecedented access to resources and faculty from MIT, MIT Sloan, Harvard, and Harvard Medical School. BEP's fully integrated biomedical and business curricula gives students the skills they need to thrive in the health care industry.
Leaders for Global Operations (LGO) students learn to solve challenging operations problems by developing knowledge at the intersection of engineering and management. Our dual-degree program awards an MBA or a Master of Science from MIT Sloan School of Management and a Master of Science from MIT School of Engineering. The two-year LGO experience features a cross-disciplinary curriculum, a global orientation, significant internship opportunities and an emphasis on leadership and teamwork. Our partner companies play a critical role in all facets of the program. LGO's two dozen partner companies provide generous fellowships and six-and-a-half moth internships for all students. The 48 students in each class represent a substantial part of the MBA class. Through its academic program, its research, and its outreach to other universities around the globe, LGO strives to integrate the total enterprise with customers, suppliers, government, and community.
This three-year dual degree program with the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University allows students to receive both an MBA and an MPA/MPP. This program is especially relevant for those students who plan to pursue careers in international management or economic development, or who plan to work in industries or regions with a high degree of government partnership or regulation.
