Ever since I was a teenager I have wanted to have a very deep impact on the world. I started working in marketing in my first years of college and after I gained the experience I thought I needed, I started my own company in Argentina. It is a boutique innovation center and incubator, developing tailor made duel-profit startups for investors. I believe that a company shouldn't have to decide between business objectives and social goals. Duel-profits are companies that are concerned with both business profit and social profit. I have always been concerned with climate crisis, and coming from Argentina, I have seen firsthand the effects of hunger, poverty, and unemployment. I believe that the duel profit model is the best answer for these problems.
From the beginning I knew MIT Sloan would be the perfect place to further pursue my goals. MIT Sloan is an information hub, a trend developer, and I believe that if we start developing these ideas from a place like MIT Sloan, we will be getting more people to our cause, and set the trend of dual-profits not only for Latin America, but for the entire world.
I am going to MIT Sloan as part of a lifetime goal. After I receive my MBA I plan to move my company's headquarters from Argentina to Boston, and work side by side with MIT. I want to stay closely connected to the MIT community and I want to keep on developing trends and apply those new trends in emerging countries.
Having the opportunity to spend two years at MIT Sloan, having great gurus and role models like Ed Roberts, Bill Aulet, or Steve Eppinger, working everyday with them, passing by their office to say hi, knowing what they are working on, or even possibly collaborating with them on a project, is amazing. That is what I am really looking forward to.
