Deborah Ancona, faculty director of the MIT Leadership Center, and MIT Sloan Senior Lecturer William Isaacs say structural balance is vital to the success of teams. Their “Four-player model” asserts that, applied appropriately and in the proper sequence, four core acts — Move, Follow, Oppose, and Bystand — are the building blocks of an effective team.
The Core (the first semester) has definitely taken a toll on my blogging. I can't believe it's been a month! Hope I can still give you a sense of what's been going on here.
