The Sloan Innovation Period (SIP) throws open a window to a new view of curricular innovation. We've replaced the traditional 13-week semester with a refreshing new rhythm — six weeks of course work on either side of an intense week of experiential leadership learning and exposure to the groundbreaking faculty work that puts MIT Sloan in a league apart.
With SIP, students and faculty have the time and flexibility to engage in new and exciting intellectual exploration. Outside the rigid bounds of ordinary classrooms students practice the hands-on skills of leadership, and delve deeply into their areas of interest.
