For over a decade I have stood at the intersection of business, innovation, and the law, working with pioneers and thought-leaders to navigate through the front lines of disruptive change. As VP, Assistant General Counsel & Head of Intellectual Property at comScore, I currently oversee all IP matters (copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret) for the company and advise senior management on complex legal issues, including mergers and acquisitions, IP licensing, competitive strategy, and open source issues. Prior to joining comScore, I spent over 6 years at Finnegan, one of the world’s premier IP law firms, where I represented prominent tech companies such as AOL, Netscape, and HTC in a variety of high-stakes proceedings. Before Finnegan I was a Patent Examiner at the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, where I examined software patent applications from other prominent innovators such as Google, Microsoft, Apple, and IBM. I started my career as an engineer at Microstrategy. When not at work or with family, I can usually be found in my garage tinkering with my car, listening to my favorite podcasts, or exploring the virtual world inside my VR headset.
