Sloan Innovation Period
Personalized Skill Building
The Sloan Innovation Period (SIP) occurs at the midpoint of each semester and provides students with an intensive week of experiential leadership learning, as well as exposure to groundbreaking faculty work. It allows students to engage in intellectual exploration outside the classroom.
A Different Kind of Teaching, a Different Kind of Learning
The MIT Leadership Center organizes SIP seminars that include real-time simulations, personal sessions with senior executives, practitioner panels and presentations, skill-building workshops, and self-assessment and reflection activities.
Flexibility in Focus
The flexibility of SIP course selection permits students to focus on a particular area of interest, further customizing the experience.
Flexibility in Purpose
During the spring semester, SIP, combined with spring break, affords enough time for on-site visits to host companies for Action Learning Lab courses.
