MIT Sloan’s Simon Johnson, Ronald A. Kurtz (1954) Professor of Entrepreneurship, and James Kwak had good news and bad news for the hundreds of people who turned out to hear them talk about the U.S. national debt at MIT Sloan in April 2012.
The good news, Johnson said, is that, contrary to many public claims, the U.S. national debt level does not constitute a crisis right now … The bad news, however, is that there is no guarantee the debt situation will improve.
The talk coincided with the release of Johnson and Kwak’s new book White House Burning: The Founding Fathers, Our National Debt, and Why It Matters to You.
