She comes with extensive experience in analytics in financial services and insurance. Most recently (2015-2017), Carine was engagement director in Liberty Mutual Insurance’s internal consulting group (corporate strategy & research) where she led internal consulting engagements. In that role, she worked on a broad variety of projects including analytics, process improvement, organizational design, and thought leadership.
Prior to that, Carine created and led (2012-2014) a data science team in Liberty Mutual Insurance’s consumer Market business unit where she built advanced analytics models to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and customer engagement of claims processes.
At Liberty Mutual Insurance, Carine was also a lecturer in the corporate development programs for senior managers and executives, and developed expertise in lean and agile management principles.
Prior to Liberty Mutual Insurance, Carine worked in quantitative risk analytics in the financial services industry for Credit Suisse and for the alternative asset management company Lincoln Vale LLC.
Her interests are in machine learning and its applications across the enterprise. She is passionate about bringing real-world experience to the classroom.
Carine holds a PhD from the MIT Operations Research Center in 2007 and an MS in Applied Mathematics from Ecole Centrale Paris in 2003.
