As a member of the MIT Regional Entrepreneurship Acceleration Program (MIT REAP) team, Jody Gilbert assists with efforts to develop and catalyze regional innovation ecosystems globally. This is highlighted through her work with MIT REAP, which fosters innovation and entrepreneurial growth strategies for regions across the world, where she takes an active role in the planning and execution of the two-year program and other auxiliary events.
Prior to her current position at MIT, Jody worked in and out of the public and private sector in Washington, D.C. Most recently, she worked as a Logistics Coordinator at Civic Nation: The United State of Women, a White House legacy program dedicated to bringing together and empowering women. She also spent time working on Capitol Hill and the United Postal Service’s Global Public Affairs headquarters advocating for issues surrounding Human Trafficking and Women Rights.
Originally from New York, Jody graduated from Dean College where she majored in business administration, concentrating in brand management and international development. Currently, she is pursuing her MA/PhD from UMass Boston in social inclusion and global development, focusing on human rights.
