Clubs and Activities Whatever your interest, there’s a way to get involved at MIT Sloan. Our students are leaders, thinkers, and doers and use the MIT campus – indeed, the world – as their playground for experimentation. With the abundance of activities at MIT Sloan, you’re sure to find what interests you.Student Clubs The roughly 60 MIT Sloan clubs represent MIT culture, showcasing a diverse array of interests and offering the opportunity to imagine, develop, and execute events ranging from mixers to conferences to trips abroad. Many clubs welcome students from the entire MIT community. There is even a club for spouses, partners, and significant others at MIT Sloan. Student-run clubs play a pivotal role in student life and culture of MIT Sloan. Club leaders bring in seasoned executives to conduct skill-building sessions and resume reviews, as well as informal lunch talks and broad networking opportunities. In addition to a range of business and professional clubs, there are groups for different regions, sports, and other interests. Athletics MIT Sloan boasts one of the largest and most diverse club sports programs anywhere, with one of the highest participation rates. Whether you prefer basketball or ballroom dancing, Aikido or ultimate Frisbee, there's a team for you. Because we're just steps from the banks of the Charles River, many students also take advantage of opportunities to sail, canoe, row, or run along the famous waterway. Through MIT Recreation, students have access to an array of athletic facilities, including cardio machines, free weights, squash courts, floor hockey, basketball, aerobics, volleyball, and an Olympic-size pool.
