Master of Finance

Optional Concentrations

MFin students can deepen their expertise by pursuing a concentration in one of five areas: Capital Markets, Corporate Finance, Financial Engineering, Climate and Social Impact Finance, or FinTech. While concentrations are not required for graduation, they allow students to tailor their academic experience to specific career goals and areas of interest.

Concentrations require two additional courses beyond the MFin degree requirements. Courses cannot be counted toward both degree requirements and concentration requirements unless specifically noted. Concentration courses must be taken for a letter grade. If you choose to pursue a concentration, please note the following:

  • The feasibility of completing a concentration depends on class schedules and faculty availability in a given academic year.
  • No substitutions are permitted for the approved list of courses.
  • Students may not take more than 66 credit units per term.
