Kara Blackburn

Kara Blackburn is a Lecturer in Managerial Communication at the MIT Sloan School of Management.

Blackburn has spent the last 10 years coaching MBA students to be more effective communicators in the business environment. At MIT Sloan, she teaches Communication for Managers, a core course, and co-mentors teams in the Global Entrepreneurship Lab (G-Lab) course. Prior to joining MIT Sloan, Blackburn was on the faculty at Stern School of Business, New York University. She is a member of the Association for Business Communication and of the Management Communication Association.

Blackburn holds a BA from Connecticut College and an MA from Columbia University.
