Andrew Sutherland is an Assistant Professor of Accounting at the MIT Sloan School of Management.
His current research studies the role of financial and credit report information in commercial lending markets. This work often focuses on entrepreneurs and privately held firms, and examines bank monitoring, bank diversification, financial and disclosure regulation, and relationship lending. He previously worked as a consultant advising companies throughout the U.S. and Latin America on valuation, investment policy, performance measurement, and executive compensation.
He holds an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University and a PhD from the University of Chicago.
