Francis O’ Sullivan is a Lecturer in the MIT Sloan School of Management and the MIT Sloan Executive Education Program.

He is the Executive Director of the Energy Sustainability Challenge Program at the MIT Energy Initiative, which explores the emerging challenges surround the sustainable supply of energy in the future. He is responsible for a large multi-disciplinary team including faculty, research staff, and students, as well as managing sponsor relationships and personal research. His research focuses on integrated economic analysis, natural gas production analysis, and water intensity analysis.

Prior to joining the faculty of MIT, O’Sullivan was a senior associate at McKinsey & Company, providing strategic and operational consulting to senior executives in the renewable energy, oil & gas, utility, financial services, and high tech sectors.

O’Sullivan holds a BE degree in engineering from University College Cork, an SM in electrical engineering, an EE in electrical engineering, and a PhD in electrical engineering from MIT.
