Janet Shanberge
Senior Lecturer, Trust Center for MIT Entrepreneurship
Janet Shanberge is a senior lecturer at the MIT Entrepreneurship Center. In her 26-year career, she has serviced in an advisory role to multi-national and domestic clients on China business development. Shanberge was a pioneer of early-stage foreign investment in China in the 1980s and was involved in several precedent-setting joint venture investments. She is a specialist in transaction facilitation and a communication bridge-builder between foreign investors and Chinese counter-parties. She is fluent in Madarin Chinese.
Since 2000, Shanberge has been a partner at LEK Consulting Group and is one of three directors who founded and lead the China practice for this global management strategy advisory firm. Prior to LEK, Shanberge was a partner with Alliance Asia Pacific Limited and managing director, China, for Kamsky Associates, Inc.
