Angel Zajkowski

Angel Zajkowski is a native of California. In 1998, she enlisted into the Army as a Human Intelligence Specialist. From 1998-2002, her operational assignments included a tour in Korea and a tour in Japan as a collector focused on Indo-Pacific priorities. In 2002, she transitioned from an intelligence professional to a special operations professional.

During her assignment in special missions, she served as an Special Operator, Operational Team Leader, Operator Training Instructor, Future Plans and Operations Staff Manager, Operational Detachment Leader, Joint Task Force Senior Enlisted Leader, Director of Advanced Technologies, Deputy Chief Technology Officer, Chief Restructuring Officer, and Chief of Staff with multiple operational and training deployments to combat zones and conflict areas around the world. She is the first
woman in special missions to receive a medal for valor for actions in combat and founded SOCOM Ignite.

She currently serves as a member of the Army Science Board and a Special Advisor to various general and flag officers on best practices related to talent management, organizational design and change, technological transformation, business culture and process modernization, academic partnerships, and special operations activities.

She holds degrees from Stanford Graduate School of Business, Methodist University, Cochise College, and Monterey Peninsula College as well as executive certificates from Harvard Business School and Duke University.
