MIT GCFP Inaugural Conference on Finance and Policy
By
The MIT Inaugural Conference on Finance and Policy was the premier kick-off event for MIT’s new Center on Finance and Policy and took place September 12 and 13, 2014. The conference highlighted new research and key policy issues that are representative of the Center’s three research tracks:(1) Evaluation and Management of Government Financial Institutions; (2) Microprudential Regulation of Financial Markets and Institutions; and(3) Macroprudential Regulation and Systemic Risk Measurement and Control.
In keeping with the CFP’s mission—to be a catalyst for new research and thinking in these areas; and to create opportunities for academics, policymakers, regulators, and practitioners to interact—the conference featured a mixture of paper presentations, panel discussions, and opportunities for informal interactions among participants.
Conference attendance was by invitation, but the sessions were webcasted live and are available for viewing online. Slides and papers are also available here.
