Sloan student club to focus on financial markets and policy
By
The MIT Sloan Financial Market and Policy Club is a new student organization dedicated to promoting the idea of “Finance for Social Good.”
The club was conceived by MFin students Ivy Sheng, Tamar Pichkhadze, and YuGai Zhu, and is guided by a student committee that includes MFins, MBAs, and PhD students. Its goals include providing a forum to discuss financial policy and regulation, bringing public sector financial leaders to campus to share their experiences and meet with club members, and facilitating career placement related to financial market governance.
“The new club will be a great resource for Sloan students contemplating a career in financial policy or who just want to keep on top of what is going on in the regulatory sphere,” says Center for Finance and Policy director and finance professor Deborah Lucas.
