Double Major: 15-1 Management + Course 18 Mathematics

This roadmap is an ‘MIT student optimized’ guide for structuring your schedule. Course 15 always encourages you to choose courses based upon interest, not by which ever checks off the most boxes. Please read the footnotes for additional options and email ugeducation@sloan.mit.edu or come see us in the Program Office (E52-150 Suite 133) to discuss.  Subjects that fulfill both Course 15 and Course 18 requirements are bold.

Notes:
115.312 is no longer being offered. Students who have previously taken 15.312 can substitute this course for 15.301.
218.05 can fulfill the Probability+Statistics requirement for Course 15 and is a Course 18 Elective. Students can also take 18.600 and 18.650 to fulfill the Probability+Statistics requirement for Course 15 and as Course 18 electives.
314.01 is a HASS subject. 15.0111 is not a HASS subject. If students take 15.0111, the 9 units will count toward the 180 units beyond GIRs and students will need to take another HASS subject.
4Plan your Course 18 Electives accordingly to fulfill the Course 18 distributed restricted electives and the required Math CI-M subjects.
5Students can use no more than one subject in their primary major department to fulfill the REST requirement. Course 18 primary majors who take will need a non-Course 18 REST. Course 15 primary majors can take both REST subjects in Course 18.
6Up to two Course 18 courses or non-Course 15 courses can also count as 15-1 Concentration Electives provided these subjects form an intellectually coherent 15-1 Concentration.
7Depending on the amount of double counting towards major and GIR requirements, additional units will be needed to accrue the 180 units beyond GIRs.
8Joint Course 15 HASS subjects (14.45/15.0161J and 14.26/15.039J) can count toward the HASS requirement and also towards the minimum three Course 15-1 Concentration Electives, provided these subjects form an intellectually coherent 15-1 Concentration.
