About the MIT Golub Center for Finance and Policy (GCFP)

Our mission is to serve as a catalyst for innovative, cross-disciplinary and non-partisan research and educational initiatives that address the unique challenges facing governments in their role as financial institutions and as regulators of the financial system.
About our Publication

GCFP publishes research-based, non-partisan analysis aimed at helping a broad audience of readers understand issues at the intersection of finance and public policy. Contributions should be accessible to an informed, non-specialist audience and clearly explain why the issue matters and its relevance to current policy or practice.
Review recent blogs for style and format

Length: Submissions should generally not exceed 1500 words, using short paragraphs and succinct sub-headers.
Structure:
- An approximately 80-word “What you’ll learn” section summarizing key takeaway
- A brief introduction section, providing background for the topic being examined
- A research-based analysis of the issue
- A conclusion outlining clear considerations for policy audiences and practitioners
Inclusion of charts, graphs, or imagery are allowed, however, should be used sparingly and fit dimensions of 2560 x 1280 px.
Originality: While we have a strong preference for original content, we are open to accepting submissions previously published on other platforms. Please disclose any previous publications.
Authors: Most of our articles are written by academics and scholars; however, we accept submissions from practitioners, policymakers, and students with a clear level of expertise.
Citations: Please include references, hyperlinking in text. Avoid footer citations.
Author(s) Info: Include a short bio (50-80 words) with your institutional affiliation, a headshot, and, if available, a link to the author's public profile (such as LinkedIn or academic website).
AI: We do not accept articles written by AI. All articles will be screened and checked closely for accurate citations.
- We do allow articles where AI was used in outlining or proofreading; however, please disclose this and any other use of AI.
Conflict of interest: Authors must disclose any financial or professional relationships that could be perceived to influence the content of their submission.

By submitting, contributors confirm that:

They are granting GCFP the right to publish and disseminate the submitted work on the GCFP website, newsletter, social media, and other relevant digital channels (collectively, the “GCFP Digital Presence”)
They have all necessary rights to publish the work, and to allow GCFP to publish the work, including any and all rights from third party copyright owners of data, figures, and imagery included in the work
The submission is not plagiarized, and co-authors have been properly credited and all co-authors agree that GCFP may publish the work
The submission does not violate anyone's copyright, right of privacy, or other third party right, and is not defamatory of any third party or otherwise unlawful in any respect
Any previous publication of the work by another outlet has been disclosed
The GCFP team may edit accepted submissions in collaboration with the author
GCFP can promote the Author Info (including, for avoidance of doubt, the author’s name and likeness) and the submission through the GCFP Digital Presence
If, and to the extent, AI was used in connection with the creation of the work, authors have notified GCFP and described with specificity the nature of AI use, including a detailed description of the AI tools used, the manner in which they were used, and the portions of the work to which such tools contributed.
Any AI tools used in connection with content integrated into the work were used in a manner consistent with applicable intellectual property laws and scholarly and publishing industry standards.
