This year the MIT Golub Center for Finance and Policy’s 11th annual conference brings together leading academics, policymakers and practitioners to explore issues on the theme of consumer finance. The focus will be on how new technologies are reshaping consumer financial products, and the implications for how regulatory policies for consumers must be rethought and reshaped.
The conference will begin the afternoon of Thursday, October 24 with panel discussions on climate risk and the future of retirement finance. The panels will be followed by a dinner and keynote address by Adrienne Harris, Superintendent NYS Department of Financial Services and former Special Assistant to President Obama for Economic Policy. The program will continue the following morning on Friday, October 25 with the presentation and discussion of seven research papers, followed by a lunch and keynote address by John Campbell (Harvard University).
