The MIT Golub Center for Finance and Policy is proud to note that our Co-Director, Robert C. Merton, School of Management Distinguished Professor of Finance at the MIT Sloan School of Management and University Professor Emeritus at Harvard University, has received this year’s prestigious Killian Award. “The purpose of the award is to recognize extraordinary professional achievement by MIT faculty members and to communicate their accomplishments to members of the Institute community.” The award, established in 1971, pays tribute to Dr. James R. Killian, Jr., former MIT president (1948–1959) and chairman of the Corporation (1959–1971). Dr. Merton joins an impressive list of past winners.
