Alexis Montecinos is a visiting professor of finance at the MIT Sloan School of Management

His research focuses on financial economics, business analytics, and empirical asset pricing. He is an Assistant Professor of finance at Suffolk University in Boston and an Adjunct Professor of finance at Adolfo Ibáñez University in Chile where he is also the Director of the Master in Business Analytics. He is very connected to the industry and is constantly developing new projects for different companies and governments in the world. Among the most important prizes he has received, he was recognized as one of the 25 most successful professionals under 35 in Chile.

Alexis Montecinos has a BS in economics and a MS in economics from Universidad de Chile and a PhD in finance from MIT.
